Callbreak: A Strategic Card Game

Callbreak, immensely popular in India and Nepal, is similar to Spades and Call Bridge (also known as Lakdi/Lakadi). Play anytime, anywhere!

Callbreak Rules:

Four players use a standard 52-card deck over five rounds. Spades are trump. Each player receives 13 cards and bids on the number of tricks they expect to win. The goal is to win the maximum number of tricks while strategically breaking opponents' bids.

Callbreak Gameplay:

• Dealing and Bidding: 13 cards are dealt to each player, starting to the dealer's left. The first dealer is random; subsequent deals rotate clockwise. Players bid (1-13 tricks).
• Scoring: Players must meet their bid to score points.
• Trick Play: Spades are trump. Follow suit if possible; otherwise, play a trump or any card. The highest card (or highest spade) wins the trick. The trick winner leads the next trick.
