Brad Winderbaum, head of Marvel Television, shared his enthusiasm about the project, describing it as "a shotgun blast of a story, but also [with] all the pathos and emotion that you want out of a Frank Castle story." This announcement coincides with Marvel Television's broader plans to bring back the Defenders on Disney+. Now, with their episodes migrated to Disney+ and integrated into the MCU canon, fans can look forward to more gritty superhero action.

Winderbaum expressed his excitement about exploring this universe further, acknowledging the challenges of translating the vast possibilities of comic books into television. "We’re dealing with actors and time and the massive scale of production in order to build a cinematic universe, especially on television," he told Entertainment Weekly. "But I can just say that all those variables taken into account, it is certainly something that is creatively extremely exciting and that we are very much exploring."

Daredevil: Born Again, set to premiere on March 4, continues the narrative thread from the Netflix series. It will feature several returning characters, including the Punisher and Vincent D'Onofrio's Wilson Fisk (Kingpin).
