A young Black woman in Detroit journeys through time, revisiting pivotal moments in her family's past. This journey is the core of DOT'S HOME, a captivating single-player, 2D narrative adventure game. Players experience the intersection of race, place, and home, confronting difficult choices shaped by historical forces.

DOT'S HOME offers an interactive exploration of systemic inequalities impacting communities of color. By placing players in scenarios demanding decisions about housing amidst redlining, urban renewal, and gentrification, the game prompts reflection: "How did your family arrive at its current location, and how much agency did they truly possess?"

Developed by the Rise-Home Stories project, DOT'S HOME represents a three-year collaboration between multimedia artists and housing justice advocates. This creative partnership aims to reshape community narratives by reimagining the past, present, and future.
