Gameplay Overview:

This is the inaugural title in the Essence series, a classic turn-based JRPG. As an adventurer investigating kingdom rumors, you've been imprisoned and must now escape the dungeon.

Helpful Hints:

1. The goddess can boost your stats, return you to the dungeon entrance, and save your progress.
2. Early on, a Great Sword (attacking all enemies) is highly recommended.
3. In The Wild's snake areas, use items to avoid combat.
4. If an area proves too challenging, descend to a lower level for better equipment.
5. Defeat in battle results in a 50% gold loss.
6. Evasion chance is based on the Agility difference before combat.
7. All status effects end after battle.
8. Weapon special attacks ignore enemy Defense.
9. The maximum gold limit is 999G.
10. Check bookshelves for crucial information.

Character Stats:

• Attack: Determines normal and special attack damage.
• Defense: Reduces damage from physical attacks.
• Focus: Influences magic attack power.
• Resistance: Reduces damage from energy attacks.
• Agility: Affects evasion rate and turn order.
