Hippo: Game Day of the Dead

Kids travel to Mexico to experience the Dia de los Muertos and Halloween celebrations

The adventure to the realm of the dead begins now! It all unfolded in Mexico during the Day of the Dead - Dia de los Muertos. Hippo arrived at her grandmother's ranch, where preparations for the festivities were in full swing. On this day, Mexico bursts with vibrant colors, sugar skulls, music, lively skeletons, and every kind of monster imaginable.

But these monsters aren't scary at all—they're all local residents. Dia de los Muertos is very different from the famous Halloween. There's no need to frighten strangers, collect candy, or tell spooky tales, which are classic Halloween activities. Instead, the Day of the Dead honors the memory of the departed. It's widely believed that on this day, deceased relatives and ancestors can return to visit their homes. The holiday's roots trace back to ancient Maya and Aztec traditions. In every household, you can witness various rituals, including an altar known as an ofrenda. Hippo's family set up their ofrenda around a massive dead tree in the backyard. But this year, the ceremony was unexpectedly interrupted. The children accidentally fell into a hollow in the tree and found themselves in the land of the dead! From that moment on, a series of mysterious and thrilling adventures unfold. Join a journey where puzzles and secrets can arise at any turn.

The game's key features:

- puzzles, spooky tales, and other thrilling adventures

- legends, stories, and adventures suitable for all ages

- integration of traditional Mexican musical instruments

- an engaging and fast-paced storyline

- a final showdown with evil forces
