Kingambit Joins Pokémon Go in Crown Clash Event Next Month

As you prepare for the Sweet Discoveries event, get ready for the regal excitement of the Crown Clash event in Pokémon Go, scheduled from May 10th to 18th. This event is your golden opportunity to evolve the powerful Kingambit, acquire crowned versions of Nidoqueen and Nidoking, and hunt for shiny Pokémon while earning extra XP through evolutions.

Kingambit, known as the Big Blade Pokémon, will make its much-anticipated debut during the Crown Clash event. To add Kingambit to your collection, you must evolve Bisharp. However, there's a catch: Bisharp needs to be your buddy, and you must defeat 15 Dark- or Steel-type Pokémon in Raid Battles. Bisharp doesn't have to fight; simply having it as your buddy while you rack up victories will suffice.

Adding to the festivities are the newly crowned Nidoqueen and Nidoking, who will appear in their regal attire. Keep an eye out for their Shiny versions as well. These crowned Pokémon will be featured in three-star raids, while one-star raids will include Sneasel, Klink, and Pawniard.

In the wild, you'll encounter frequent spawns such as Slowpoke (which might yield a King’s Rock), Slakoth, Piplup, Combee, Snivy, and Litleo. Pawniard will also appear more frequently, offering more chances to catch this Pokémon.

The event also offers double XP for evolving Pokémon, making it an ideal time to tackle your evolution backlog.
