HOW THE GAME WORKS

Kahoot! Algebra by DragonBox introduces these core algebra concepts:

Recommended for ages five and above, Kahoot! Algebra by DragonBox lets young kids build confidence with the essentials of solving equations.

Kahoot! Algebra by DragonBox uses a unique teaching approach rooted in discovery and experimentation. Kids learn solving methods in a lively, colorful game world where creativity and trial-and-error are encouraged. By moving cards and working to isolate the DragonBox on one side of the board, they naturally learn the steps needed to isolate X in an equation. Gradually, cards turn into numbers and variables, showing the addition, division, and multiplication concepts they've been mastering all along.

No adult supervision is required, though parents can help bridge the gap between in-game skills and solving equations on paper. It’s a wonderful parent-child activity, and a chance for grown-ups to brush up on their math, too.

DragonBox was created by former math teacher Jean-Baptiste Huynh and has received acclaim as a leading game-based learning tool. As a result, DragonBox games have become the focus of in-depth research by the University of Washington's Center for Game Science.
