Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp is shutting down! Nintendo recently announced the End of Service (EOS) for this popular mobile game, leaving many players surprised. While the game celebrates its seventh anniversary on November 21st, 2024, its online services will cease just a few days later, on November 28th, 2024.
The Shutdown Timeline:
- October 28th, 2024: Auto-renewal for Pocket Camp Club memberships will end. Existing memberships will not be refunded, but players will receive a commemorative badge.
- November 26th, 2024: Last chance to purchase Leaf Tickets.
- November 28th, 2024, 7:00 AM PST: Online services officially end.
A Silver Lining: Offline Play!
While online features will disappear, Nintendo plans to release a paid offline version of Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp. This version will retain the core gameplay experience, allowing players to keep their saved progress and play without an internet connection. Features like the Market Box and visiting friends' campsites will be removed. More details on this offline version are expected around October 2024.
