This guide explains how to obtain and utilize snacks in Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp to maximize friendship levels with animals.
Quick Links
Boosting animal friendship levels in Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp is crucial for increasing your Camp Manager Level. Snacks are a fast track to this, but they're scarce. This guide will help you acquire and strategically use them.
How to Obtain Snacks
Gulliver's Ship Strategy
Gulliver's Ship offers the most reliable method for obtaining snacks. Sending him to special "gold islands" yields Villager Maps. Completing a special island awards 20 Gold Treats.
If you've already collected all Villager Maps, sending Gulliver to any island on the map will provide snacks. Isle of Style islands consistently yield 3 Gold Treats as souvenirs, plus 3 more as a completion bonus.
You can see three islands at a time. A daily free refresh is available via the top-right icon.
Gulliver's voyages require cargo, craftable in your furniture catalog. Some islands require specific furniture types. For instance, Exotic Islands (for modern-themed snacks) may need exotic furniture or simple crates/packages.
Island snack types are previewable using the magnifying glass on the island icon. Longer voyages (6 hours) generally offer more treats than shorter ones (4 hours or less). For example, Piano Island provides all Tart Snack variations.
Alternative Snack Sources
- Bronze, Silver, or Gold Treats can be earned from completing Requests or receiving gifts.
- Daily Goals sometimes reward Silver and Gold Treats.
- Blathers's Treasure Trek (using Villager Maps and Auto-Trek for 5 Leaf Tokens) provides Bronze, Silver, and Gold Treats.

Understanding Snack Types
Snacks are categorized as regular or themed. Bronze, Silver, and Gold Treats are regular, universally liked snacks. Themed snacks (e.g., Plain Donut) are further divided into Plain, Tasty, and Gourmet tiers, with Gourmet offering the most friendship points. Gourmet snacks are typically found on longer voyages.
There are 36 distinct snacks:

Snack Giving Mechanics
Always check an animal's theme before gifting. Matching themes maximize friendship points. Generic treats (Bronze, Silver, Gold) bypass this requirement. Gold Treats provide the highest friendship point gain (25).
Ten Gold Treats can boost a level 1 animal to level 15.
To check an animal's theme, tap their icon at your campsite or cabin. For animals encountered elsewhere, consult your Contacts or Pete's Parcel Service.
To give a snack, tap the animal and select "Have a snack!". The highlighted red option indicates friendship point gain.
