Fortnite's cosmetic items are highly coveted, with players eagerly awaiting the return of popular skins to the in-game store. Epic Games' rotation system, while providing variety, often results in lengthy wait times. While some skins, like Master Chief (after a two-year absence), eventually reappear, others remain elusive.
This is particularly true for fans of Arcane, who have been clamoring for the return of Jinx and Vi skins since the show's release. However, Riot Games co-founder Marc Merrill recently cast doubt on their return during a livestream.
While the decision ultimately rests with Riot, Merrill indicated the collaboration was limited to the first season of Arcane. Although he expressed willingness to discuss the possibility with his team, he offered no guarantees, leaving fans disappointed.
The likelihood of these skins returning seems slim. While the potential revenue would benefit Riot, the risk of players migrating from League of Legends to Fortnite due to the skins is a significant concern, especially given League of Legends' current challenges.
Therefore, managing expectations is advisable. While future circumstances may change, it's prudent to avoid unrealistic hopes for a Jinx and Vi comeback in Fortnite.
