This groundbreaking competition allows Japanese university, graduate, and vocational school students (18 years or older) to form teams of up to 20 members. Each team member will assume a specific game development role, mirroring real-world studio structures. Over six months, participants will leverage Capcom's cutting-edge RE ENGINE, receiving mentorship from experienced Capcom developers to learn state-of-the-art game development techniques. Winning teams will receive game production support and potential commercialization opportunities.
Competition Details:
- Application Period: December 9, 2024 – January 17, 2025 (unless otherwise stated).
- Eligibility: Japanese students aged 18+ enrolled in university, graduate school, or vocational school.
- Engine: Capcom's proprietary RE ENGINE (Reach for the Moon Engine), the powerhouse behind titles like Resident Evil 7, various subsequent Resident Evil installments, Dragon's Dogma 2, Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess, and the upcoming Monster Hunter Wilds. This continuously evolving engine ensures participants work with leading-edge technology.
