Marmalade Game Studio has just released the 2016 Suspects Pack for the digital version of Clue, also known as Cluedo. If you're a fan of this classic murder-mystery game, you'll be thrilled to know that you can now play with some of the iconic characters from the 2016 edition.
Who Are the 2016 Clue aka Cluedo Suspects?
The 2016 pack introduces characters like Miss Scarlet, Colonel Mustard, Reverend Green, Professor Plum, Dr. Orchid, and Mrs. Peacock. This pack focuses solely on these beloved characters, allowing you the flexibility to integrate them into any scenario you desire, without being restricted to specific crime scenes or case files. Whether you choose to stick with your nostalgic favorites or mix them up with the newer 2023 cast, the choice is yours.
The fanbase of the 2016 version has been vocal about their desire to see these characters return, particularly after the introduction of the more modern 2023 characters. It's great to see that Marmalade Game Studio has listened to their community and responded with this exciting update.
There’s More Coming to the Game!
In addition to the 2016 Suspects Pack, Clue aka Cluedo is introducing a new game mode: the Retro Rules Set. This mode, which is available for free, allows players to experience the game using the original 1949 rules, bringing a nostalgic twist to your gameplay.
The Retro Rules Set reintroduces classic mechanics, altering the way you move and make accusations. For instance, game tokens will start at designated spots on the board, and Miss Scarlet always gets the first move—unless she's absent, in which case Colonel Mustard takes the lead. Accusations can only be made while in a room, and the use of Clue Cards is eliminated. Additionally, you cannot move through squares occupied by other players, adding a strategic layer to the game.
Don't miss out on these exciting updates! You can find Clue aka Cluedo on the Google Play Store and dive into the new experiences awaiting you.
