Radical Fish Games Unveils Alabaster Dawn: A New Action RPG
Gamescom 2024 Appearance
The creators of the critically acclaimed CrossCode have officially lifted the veil on their next title: Alabaster Dawn. Previously known as "Project Terra," this exciting new game was revealed on the developer's website. Alabaster Dawn is targeting a Steam Early Access launch in late 2025. While a specific date remains unannounced, you can wishlist the game on Steam now.
A public demo is also planned for the future, preceding the Early Access release in late 2025.
For Gamescom attendees, Radical Fish Games will be showcasing Alabaster Dawn, offering a limited number of hands-on opportunities. Even if you miss the gameplay sessions, the studio invites you to visit their booth from Wednesday to Friday for a chat.
Alabaster Dawn's Combat: A Fusion of Influences
Alabaster Dawn unfolds in the ravaged world of Tiran Sol, left desolate by the goddess Nyx. You play as Juno, the Outcast Chosen, tasked with reviving humanity and breaking Nyx's curse.
Expect a substantial gameplay experience, estimated at 30-60 hours, spanning seven diverse regions. Rebuild settlements, establish trade routes, and engage in exhilarating combat inspired by Devil May Cry, Kingdom Hearts, and the studio's own CrossCode. Master eight unique weapons, each with its own skill tree. Additional gameplay elements include parkour, puzzles, enchantments, and even cooking!
The team proudly announced a significant development milestone: the first 1-2 hours of gameplay are nearly complete. While seemingly a small portion, the developers highlight this as a major achievement.
