Crunchyroll Drops Roguelike Rhythm Game Crypt Of The NecroDancer On Android

Crunchyroll's mobile release of the rhythm roguelike, Crypt of the NecroDancer, brings the critically acclaimed beat-matching adventure to Android devices. Previously available on PC and with limited mobile releases, this Crunchyroll version (titled "Crunchyroll: NecroDancer") boasts a wealth of added content.

What awaits you in the Crypt?

Players take on the role of Cadence, a treasure hunter's daughter searching for her missing parent within a rhythmically challenging crypt. The roguelike nature ensures unique gameplay with every playthrough. Fifteen playable characters, each with distinct abilities, add replayability. Danny Baranowsky's original soundtrack provides the pulse to the action, demanding precise timing for movement and attacks. Failure to stay in sync with the music means game over. Expect a diverse cast of dancing enemies, from skeletons to surprisingly hip-hop-loving dragons.

More Than Just a Port:

This mobile iteration isn't just a simple port. Crunchyroll and Brace Yourself Games have included remixes, new content, and even Danganronpa character skins, appealing to anime fans. Cross-platform multiplayer and mod support further enhance the experience. Future DLC featuring Hatsune Miku and the Synchrony expansion is also planned for later this year.
