The Developers of Streets of Rage 4 Have Announced Their New Game

Dotemu, in collaboration with Guard Crush Games and Supamonks, proudly presents Absolum – a thrilling fantasy beat 'em up infused with roguelite mechanics.

Set in the ravaged world of Talamh, where a catastrophic magical event has instilled a deep-seated fear of magic in its inhabitants, Absolum unfolds a tale of rebellion. King-Sun Azra, the tyrannical ruler, leverages this fear to subjugate mages through his formidable Crimson Order. A band of courageous heroes, including the necromancer Galandra, the rebellious gnome Karl, the mage Brom, and the enigmatic Sidr, dares to challenge his reign.

Prepare for exhilarating combat featuring upgradeable abilities, devastating combo attacks, and potent magical spells. Absolum offers both solo and cooperative gameplay, allowing players to team up, coordinate their strikes, and unleash devastating joint attacks.

The game's captivating soundtrack is composed by a trio of celebrated musicians: Gareth Coker (renowned for his work on Ori and Halo Infinite), Yuka Kitamura (whose credits include Dark Souls and Elden Ring), and Mick Gordon (the mastermind behind the soundtracks of DOOM Eternal and Atomic Heart).

Absolum is slated for release in 2025 on PS4/5, Nintendo Switch, and PC (Steam).
