Elden Ring Continues Its Gaming Dominance Through 2025

While awaiting the film adaptation, the Elden Ring franchise shows no signs of slowing down. The original 2022 release became one of gaming's most successful launches, moving 13.4 million copies in its first five weeks. By April 2025, total sales surpassed 30 million units worldwide, according to official announcements.
The game's acclaimed Shadow of the Erdtree DLC maintained this momentum in 2024. With over 324 Game of the Year awards, Elden Ring stands as one of the most decorated titles in gaming history.
FromSoftware is expanding the franchise in 2025 with two major releases. Elden Ring Nightreign, a cooperative action spin-off set in the new realm of Limveld, launches May 30th for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Meanwhile, the comprehensive Elden Ring Tarnished Edition arrives later this year for Nintendo Switch 2, featuring all DLC content plus exclusive new items.
