Elliot Page's 'Beyond: Two Souls' TV Adaptation Announced

Author : Julian Update:Mar 12,2025

Elliot Page, star of the original video game, is bringing PlayStation and Quantic Dream's Beyond: Two Souls to the small screen. Page's Pageboy Productions has secured the rights to adapt the story-driven adventure into a television series, according to Deadline. Currently in early development, the series aims to preserve the game's distinctive non-linear narrative. Further details, including casting and release dates, remain under wraps.

Page described his experience filming the game as "one of the most challenging and fulfilling acting experiences" of his career, adding, "The story’s rich narrative and emotional depth offer us a fantastic foundation. We want to create a unique vision of the characters and their journeys that resonates with fans and newcomers.”

Matt Jordan Smitt, head of development and production at Pageboy, emphasized the team's commitment to honoring the game's legacy while incorporating fresh perspectives. He highlighted the central themes of survival and the profound impact of split-second decisions.

Originally released for PlayStation 3 in 2013, Beyond: Two Souls later arrived on PlayStation 4 (2015) and PC (2019). Directed and written by Quantic Dream's David Cage, the game follows Jodie Holmes, a young woman with psychic abilities who communicates with a spirit named Aiden. Its non-linear narrative explores various stages of her life, and it featured a star-studded cast including Page and Willem Dafoe.

David Cage is collaborating with Page on the TV adaptation, though the specifics of his involvement haven't been disclosed. He expressed his excitement about the collaboration, stating, “We are absolutely thrilled to collaborate again with Elliot Page on this project… Beyond: Two Souls is a very special game for millions of players around the world who were moved by the story of Jodie and Aiden, and their journey in life and beyond. I know that Elliot has all the talent and instinct to make it something really unique on TV.”
