The highly anticipated Godzilla skin, slated for release in Fortnite on January 17th, has had its details prematurely revealed through online leaks. Epic Games recently deployed an update containing the game files for this collaboration with the Monsterverse. Dataminers have uncovered the specifics: the battle pass will feature a standard Godzilla skin, while the in-game store will offer a bundle featuring Mechagodzilla and Kong skins. This bundle also includes unique jetpacks and pickaxes designed to complement each skin.
A new boss event will launch alongside the skins on January 17th. One player will transform into a giant Godzilla, utilizing abilities such as atomic breath. Players will need to collaborate to defeat this colossal foe. The player inflicting the most damage will earn a medallion granting a unique ability.
The Mechagodzilla and Kong bundle will be available at the usual time in the Fortnite item shop, priced as follows:
- Kong: 1500 V-bucks
- Mechagodzilla: 1800 V-bucks
- Two pickaxes: 800 V-bucks each
- One emote: 400 V-bucks
- Two wraps: 500 V-bucks each
- Complete Bundle: 2800 V-bucks
Beyond Godzilla, Fortnite's roster of guest appearances continues to expand. Hints suggest the arrival of the popular Vocaloid, Hatsune Miku. Social media interactions between Hatsune Miku's official account (reporting a missing backpack) and the Fortnite Festival account (confirming possession of the backpack) have fueled speculation. In addition to a standard Miku skin, a "Miku the Catgirl" variant, a stylized pickaxe, and potentially a virtual concert are anticipated.
