Genshin Impact 5.5: Android Controller Support Added

If you're a *Genshin Impact* player on Android, you're in for a treat. The long-awaited controller support is finally on its way, set to be introduced with Version 5.5. It's been a significant wait, especially since iOS users have been enjoying this feature since 2021.

When Will Genshin Impact Get Controller Support on Android?

Starting March 26th, 2025, you'll be able to enhance your gaming experience by connecting your Android device to a controller and exploring the vast world of *Genshin Impact* without relying on the touchscreen. The update will officially support four controllers: DualShock 4, DualSense, Xbox Wireless Controller, and Xbox Elite Wireless Controller Series 2. All of these controllers require Bluetooth connectivity.

Beyond controller support, Version 5.5 promises a host of quality-of-life improvements. One exciting addition is cross-scene quest tracking, allowing you to follow quests across different areas effortlessly. Just open the map and teleport directly to your desired location.

The update also includes revamped boss guides, designed to help newer players better understand enemy mechanics. Furthermore, enhancements are coming to the Artifact system, Serenitea Pot, and Mail system. While specific details will be shared during the Special Program Announcement on March 14th, these optimizations are sure to enrich your gameplay.
