Hangry Morpeko Is Coming To Pokémon GO This Halloween!

Pokémon GO's Halloween event is almost here! Niantic has revealed the details for Part 1 (with a Part 2 to follow!), promising spooky encounters and exciting features.

The event runs from Tuesday, October 22nd, at 10:00 a.m. local time, until Monday, October 28th, 2024, at 10:00 a.m.

What's in store?

Morpeko makes its Pokémon GO debut! This Electric/Dark-type Pokémon introduces unique battle mechanics, particularly effective against Team GO Rocket and in GO Battle League. Morpeko switches between Full Belly Mode (Aura Wheel Electric-type, 100 power, Attack boost) and Hangry Mode (Aura Wheel Dark-type, 100 power, Attack boost) mid-battle, depending on its Charged Attack.

During the event, Morpeko will appear more frequently in the GO Battle League's premium track, and afterward, from Rank 16 onwards (though remaining more common in the premium track).

A Spooktacular Halloween!

Pokémon GO will feature special Halloween decorations. Fans of the eerie Lavender Town theme will enjoy a remix of the classic music playing nightly throughout the event.

Dynamax Gastly will appear in one-star Max Battles, alongside Grookey, Scorbunny, and Sobble.

A free Timed Research event focusing on Spiritomb and its 108 spirits runs from October 22nd to November 3rd. Completing tasks rewards encounters with Halloween Pokémon, including Spiritomb and Morpeko.
