Warhorse Studios is putting the finishing touches on a brutally challenging hardcore mode for Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2. The developers recently announced on Discord that a select group of 100 volunteer testers are currently putting it through its paces. Recruitment for these testers has now closed, signaling the mode is nearing completion.
While specifics remain under wraps for now, expect a difficulty level comparable to, if not exceeding, the punishing hardcore mode in the first game. Recall the original Kingdom Come: Deliverance's hardcore mode: limited saves, devastating enemy attacks, treacherous landscapes, meager gold rewards, and debilitating negative perks. Deliverance 2's hardcore mode will likely build upon these, promising an even more unforgiving experience.
Testers are bound by strict NDAs, preventing the release of screenshots or videos. However, this testing phase strongly suggests an official announcement and release of information is imminent. This hardcore mode will be a free update, ensuring all players can experience the heightened challenge.
Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 is currently available on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, offering a richly immersive historical RPG set in medieval Bohemia. With the addition of this hardcore mode, Warhorse Studios aims to provide a rewarding challenge for both newcomers and veterans alike.
