My Hero Academia: The Strongest, the popular mobile action RPG based on Kohei Horikoshi's anime, is ending its run. Xin Yuan Studios recently announced the game's closure.
Closure Details:
The game, published by Sony Pictures Television, KOMOE Game Corporation, and A-Plus Japan, launched globally in May 2021. Its servers will officially shut down on March 31st, 2025. Downloads have been removed from the Google Play Store and Apple App Store as of February 24th, 2025, and in-app purchases have been disabled. All official social media accounts will be deleted following the server shutdown. However, customer support will remain active for an additional 30 days to address player inquiries. Players with purchases made between January 25th and February 24th, 2025, can request refunds before the server closure. A farewell gift of SSS+ Limited Time Heroes and 100,000 Hero Coins will be sent to all players in the game's final weeks. Details can be found on the game's official website.
Reasons for Closure:
The game's closure, while unfortunate, isn't entirely unexpected in the mobile gacha RPG market. Despite a strong start with engaging PvP and a weighty combat system, My Hero Academia: The Strongest experienced a decline. A lack of significant updates after its first anniversary and reported mismanagement contributed to its eventual shutdown. The game's longevity of approximately four years without regular updates is noteworthy.
