"Honkai: Star Rail Expansion Launches Mid-Month with New Planet"

Author : Harper Update:May 26,2025

Ah, January, a time for resolutions, a touch of post-holiday blues, and (seemingly) a plethora of new gaming adventures! That's because MiHoYo's hit ARPG, Honkai: Star Rail, is set to brighten up the dreary month with a brand new expansion arriving on January 15th.

In line with the dawning of a new year, this latest expansion will kick off a brand-new chapter. You'll embark on an exciting journey to the newly-introduced world of Amphoreus. The Trailblazer mission unfolds in two thrilling parts, spanning from version 3.0 to 3.7, which MiHoYo claims to be the most expansive in Honkai: Star Rail to date.

After departing from Penacony, the Astral Express sets its course for a new world to replenish the much-needed Trailblaze Fuel. Black Swan selects the planet of Amphoreus for landing, a world shrouded in mystery and a chaotic vortex, making it virtually impossible to study from the outside. With inhabitants oblivious to the universe and beyond, this new planet promises to be a truly intriguing challenge for all explorers.

Murky mysteriesFortunately, you won't have to explore alone. This latest version introduces three new playable characters: Herta, Aglaea, and the Remembrance Trailblazer. You'll also reunite with several old friends who make appearances throughout the expansion. The limited five-star characters Lingsha Feixiao and Jade will return to the scene, joined by Boothill, Robin, and Silver Wolf in the second half of the expansion!

It's no surprise that MiHoYo is putting their best foot forward with Honkai: Star Rail, especially after the successful release of Zenless Zone Zero last year, which added a third game to their highly-popular lineup. It seems that the folks at Hoyoverse are determined to make each of their releases stand out this year.
