Get ready for an exciting Pokémon Go Community Day on Sunday, February 9th, from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm local time, where Karrablast and Shelmet will take center stage. During this event, these Pokémon will appear more frequently in the wild, giving you a higher chance to encounter their Shiny forms. Alongside the usual bonuses, you can dive into additional research tasks to enhance your experience.
Catch as many Karrablast and Shelmet as you can during the event, as evolving them into Escavalier and Accelgor will grant them exclusive charged attacks. Escavalier will learn Razor Shell, boasting 35 power in Trainer Battles and 55 in gyms and raids, while Accelgor will gain Energy Ball, with 90 power across all battles.
For $2 or its equivalent in your local currency, you can purchase a Community Day Special Research ticket. This ticket offers encounters with Karrablast and Shelmet against a unique Dual Destiny-themed Special Background, along with additional encounters, a Premium Battle Pass, and Rare Candy XL.
Even if you don't purchase the ticket, logging in during the event activates a free Timed Research quest. This quest provides another opportunity to encounter the themed Pokémon and increases your chances of finding their Shiny versions. Don't forget to use *Pokémon Go codes* to grab some extra freebies!
During the three-hour event window, you'll benefit from triple XP and double Candy for catching Pokémon. Trainers level 31 and above will have an increased chance of receiving Candy XL. Lure Modules and Incense will last for three hours, and you'll enjoy trading benefits, including one additional Special Trade and a 50% reduction in Stardust costs.
Engage in Community Day-themed Field Research for rewards like Stardust, Great Balls, and more encounters with Karrablast and Shelmet. Keep an eye out for PokéStop Showcases, another fun way to participate in the event.
For those looking to stock up, two Community Day bundles will be available in the shop. Additionally, an Ultra Community Day Box will be up for grabs on the Pokémon Go Web Store starting February 3rd.
