KartRider: Drift Global Closure Announced by Nexon

Nexon announces the global shutdown of KartRider: Drift, the mobile, console, and PC racing game launched in January 2023. However, the good news is that the Asian servers (Taiwan and South Korea) will remain operational, undergoing a revamp soon. Nexon hasn't revealed specifics about the Asian version's changes or the possibility of a global relaunch.

Reasons for the Global Shutdown:

Despite aiming for a seamless global experience, KartRider: Drift faced challenges. Player frustration stemmed from heavy automation, leading to repetitive gameplay. Technical issues such as poor optimization on some Android devices and numerous bugs further hampered the game's success. These factors prompted Nexon to refocus its efforts on the Korean and Taiwanese PC versions, aiming to recapture the game's original vision.
