Lies of P's director, Ji-Won Choi, recently penned a heartfelt message to fans, offering both a thank you and a tantalizing glimpse into the future of the steampunk Pinocchio-inspired Soulslike game. The message, celebrating the game's anniversary, teased upcoming DLC and even hinted at a sequel.
DLC Details and Soundtrack Snippet
Choi's letter expressed gratitude to fans for their support, highlighting the team's dedication to crafting the DLC amidst the Korean summer heat. He promised the DLC would build upon the original game's strengths while addressing previously identified issues. The letter included a new piece of concept art depicting P in a snowy location, gazing up at a lighthouse, promising a new and perilous chapter. Additionally, a new track from the DLC's soundtrack was shared, although it was originally composed in 2022 by "onoken." NEOWIZ owns the rights to both the original and the new version. The accompanying music video showcased a clockwork-weapon wielding character rescuing a captive girl, echoing the base game's atmosphere.
Release Date and Future Plans
While a precise release date remains unannounced, NEOWIZ's Q1 2024 Earnings Results indicate a launch sometime in the second half of 2024, alongside several other titles. Previous teases included concept art showcasing an industrial facility and a wrecked ship, further hinting at the DLC's diverse environments. Choi assured fans that their anticipation would be rewarded and confirmed that a full sequel is also in development. The future of Lies of P appears bright, with exciting new content on the horizon.
