Lokko: A New 3D Platformer from India's Appy Monkeys, Powered by Sony

Appy Monkeys, an Indian game developer, in collaboration with Sony's India Hero Project, is bringing us Lokko, a vibrant 3D platformer. This exciting title features cross-play functionality across mobile, PC, and PS5, with DualShock support on all platforms.

India's burgeoning game development scene often goes unnoticed, but Lokko, along with other promising projects like Indus Battle Royale, showcases its growing potential. Developed through Sony's India Hero Project, an incubator supporting Indian developers, Lokko offers a unique blend of features.

The game's core gameplay loop revolves around timely pizza delivery while battling the villainous Goobol food corporation. But what truly sets Lokko apart is its comprehensive character customization options and robust level editor.

Lokko draws inspiration from successful gaming franchises, incorporating elements like character customization and level creation, all within a stylized, low-poly aesthetic reminiscent of Roblox. However, Lokko leverages the power of PlayStation, positioning itself as a compelling alternative to similar platforms.

While the gameplay may not be revolutionary, Appy Monkeys' vision is promising. The game's cross-platform capabilities and DualShock integration are particularly noteworthy. Lokko's release date is yet to be confirmed, but it's expected sometime this year.
