Monster Hunter Now's Season 5: The Blossoming Blade is almost here! Niantic has unveiled all the exciting details for the upcoming season, launching March 6th, 2025. Expect new challenges, monsters, weapons, and a revamped Season Pass.
Pre-Season Sneak Peek
Even before Season 5 begins, players can encounter the Chatacabra, making its debut on February 28th, ahead of its appearance in Monster Hunter Wilds. The season's official launch will also introduce Glavenus and Arzuros to the hunt.
Weapon Enhancements
Expect significant balance adjustments to weapons, aiming for improved viability and enjoyment across all weapon types. The Sword & Shield receives a buff, simplifying targeting of breakable parts like tails. The Perfect Rush Combo (SP) will reward precise timing with enhanced power and more satisfying combos.
The Guard skill is also receiving a much-needed upgrade. Previously, skill level had minimal impact, but now, higher levels will noticeably reduce damage taken while blocking. Further details on additional weapon tweaks will be included in the full patch notes released on March 6th.
More Season 5 Features
Season 5 addresses a common player frustration: overflowing inventories. An Item Box Expansion, available as a Supply Item, will provide an additional 250 inventory slots.
A brand-new feature arrives on March 17th, celebrating Monster Hunter Now's 1.5-year anniversary. This feature allows trading of special materials earned from hunts and events for valuable rewards such as Item Box Expansions, Weapon Refining Parts, Armor Refining Parts, and Wyvern Gem Shards.
