"Morikomori Life" has now been officially released on Android and iOS, but exclusively in Japan. This charming game is being published by Realfun Studio. Interestingly, it was initially launched in China by Level Infinite under Tencent Games, though the Chinese version was discontinued approximately a year ago.
The Rural Farm Life Sim Is Back
One of the standout features of "Morikomori Life" is its captivating visuals. The developers have masterfully captured the essence of cozy living through anime-inspired art, specifically reminiscent of Studio Ghibli's style. These scenes are so authentic, you might think they were directly extracted from a Ghibli animated film.
In the game, you step into the shoes of Kaon, a young Japanese girl. The story begins when she receives a mysterious letter from her grandmother, urging her to visit her in the countryside village of Komori, where Kaon spent her childhood. The journey back to Komori allows you to rediscover the joys of a peaceful rural life. The game's 3D toon shading beautifully enhances the warmth and realism of the Japanese countryside, making it feel almost lifelike.

Morikomori Life Lets You Experience Slow-Paced Living
"Morikomori Life" focuses on the joys of a slow-paced, slice-of-life experience. Engage in activities such as farming, cooking, fishing, hunting, and even constructing your own home. You can gather resources by chopping wood, mining ore, and exploring to find rare materials.
As you amass these resources, you'll unlock opportunities to upgrade your home and enhance your lifestyle. Customize Kaon's appearance to suit your taste, and interact with new friends in the village. Cook meals from the ingredients you've foraged, and assist villagers with various tasks.
The game offers character customization that allows you to reflect your personality. With its open-world element, you have the freedom to roam and discover delightful surprises.
"Morikomori Life" is currently available on Android in Japan. If you're in the region, you can download it from the Google Play Store. There's no confirmation yet on whether a global release is planned.
