Owlcat Games, renowned for its acclaimed cRPGs like Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous and Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader, has announced a significant expansion into game publishing. This strategic move, following their acquisition of META Publishing in 2021, aims to support and amplify narrative-driven games from other developers.
Owlcat's publishing initiative focuses on partnering with studios that share their passion for compelling narratives. Initial partnerships include Emotion Spark Studio (Serbia) for Rue Valley, a narrative RPG set within a mysterious time loop, and Another Angle Games (Poland) for Shadow of the Road, an isometric RPG blending samurai culture with steampunk technology and tactical combat. Both games are in early development, with further details promised later this month.
