Developer Pocketpair has announced an exciting new addition to their universe with Palworld! More Than Just Pals, a dating sim set in the beloved monster-catching world that captured hearts in 2024. Announced on March 31, this isn't a premature April Fools' Day jest but a genuine expansion into the realm of romance. With the internet soon to be awash with April Fools' pranks and faux game announcements, fans are understandably skeptical. Yet, Pocketpair insists that Palworld! More Than Just Pals is no laughing matter—it's a real game coming to PC via Steam, inspired by last year's April Fools' gag that was initially just for laughs.

Set in the esteemed Palagos Private Academy, Palworld! More Than Just Pals promises a unique experience where players can enroll as transfer students and forge friendships or romantic bonds with a diverse cast of student Pals. Characters like the "cute" and "mysterious" Katress and the "timid" Chillet, familiar from the original Palworld, are highlighted on the game's Steam page. Players will navigate school life, deciding whether to stay friends with the Pals, pursue romance, or take a darker path.
