The Trial of the Sekhemas in Path of Exile 2 is a challenging endgame activity, similar to the Sanctum from the original game. While not essential to the main storyline, it offers valuable loot and contributes to character progression. This guide outlines the key steps to unlock and complete it.

How to Unlock the Trial of the Sekhemas in Path of Exile 2

To begin, defeat Balbala the Traitor, a formidable boss located in Traitor's Passage within Act 2. Her aggressive attacks make this a difficult encounter early on. Upon defeating her, she drops Balbala's Barya – the key to accessing the Trial.

After defeating Balbala, travel to the Trial of the Sekhemas location, accessible via the Ardura's travel map or waypoint. You'll arrive at a ruined temple where Balbala, now acting as a guide, awaits. Place Balbala's Barya on the Relic Altar to commence your Trial.
