Persona 5: The Phantom X is now set for a worldwide release, with Android pre-registration officially underway. The game, previously announced for a June 26th, 2025 launch in Japan, will now debut globally on that same date.
Originally launched a year ago in China, the title later expanded to Taiwan, South Korea, Macau, and Hong Kong, where it's playable on Android, iOS, and PC. SEGA and Atlus are now ensuring players everywhere can experience the full game.
Crafted by Black Wing Game Studio with contributions from former Persona 5 developers, Phantom X follows a free-to-play structure. As expected, it incorporates a gacha system allowing you to recruit various characters into your party.

In terms of narrative, Phantom X introduces a brand-new protagonist leading their own team of Phantom Thieves. Together, they explore a stylized version of present-day Tokyo, uncovering new palaces and mementos.
Light social simulation and dungeon crawling elements blend with the series' hallmark turn-based combat and dual-life progression. The game also adds a guild system, a PvE mode named Velvet Trials, and brings back some beloved characters from Persona 5.
The adventure begins as the hero awakens from a vivid nightmare, only to discover a distorted reality. Accompanying you on this journey is Lefaye, a talking owl, along with the familiar residents of the Velvet Room—including the unnerving long-nosed man and his companions.
