Pokémon Sleep Welcomes Sneasel and Weavile!

New Pokémon are always exciting, and Pokémon Sleep players have a double treat! As of December 3rd, Sneasel and Weavile are available to befriend – provided you know where to look.

Where to Find Sneasel and Weavile

Given their dual Ice/Dark typing in the main series, you might expect Sneasel and Weavile in a snowy location. While they appear at Snowdrop Tundra in Pokémon Sleep, they're classified as Dark-type only (no dual typing in this game).

Conveniently, they also appear on Greengrass Isle, making them accessible to all players, even those who haven't unlocked Snowdrop Tundra. If you've selected a different island for the week, use an EZ Travel Ticket to change your research location.

Sneasel and Weavile Sleep Types

Both Sneasel and its evolution, Weavile, are Dozing-type Pokémon. This means they're more likely to appear on Snowdrop Tundra or Greengrass Isle if you've had a Dozing sleep type for the night.

Sneasel is easier to find during Sleep Research and evolves into Weavile using 80 Sneasel Candy and a Razor Claw. However, you'll still need to encounter Weavile in the wild for Sleep Research data.

Are Sneasel and Weavile Worth It?

Knowing how to get Sneasel is only half the battle. What are their in-game benefits? As Dark-types, they collect Wiki Berries, making them valuable additions to your Snowdrop Tundra team.
