Pokemon TCG Pocket's Blastoise Wonder Pick Event: Part Two is Live!

The second phase of the popular Blastoise Wonder Pick event in Pokemon TCG Pocket has begun, bringing with it a fresh batch of cosmetic goodies. The in-game shop now boasts a new lineup of Blastoise-themed items, including a stylish Blastoise icon, a commemorative coin, eye-catching card sleeves, and a vibrant Blue and Blastoise playmat.

This extended event offers players another opportunity to bolster their collection of cosmetic rewards. While the event shop remains open until January 28th, allowing ample time to acquire these coveted items, remember that event tickets stop being awarded on January 22nd. So, daily logins are crucial for maximizing your rewards!

Following a hectic holiday season filled with generous giveaways, including Pack Hourglasses and free booster packs, the event pace has slowed. Many players have already completed the Mythical Island booster pack collection and eagerly anticipate the next expansion, rumored for a late January release. The confirmation that Pack Hourglasses will be usable in future expansions has prompted many to stockpile them.

The new Blastoise-themed cosmetics provide a compelling reason to engage with the game daily. Players can also exchange surplus event tickets for up to 1,000 Shinedust (50 Shinedust per ticket).

Blastoise Wonder Pick Event: A Recap

The first part of the event, launched on January 6th, introduced two new promo cards featuring Squirtle and Charmander, each boasting unique artwork while retaining the standard attack capabilities. These, along with a Blue and Blastoise backdrop and cover, remain available. New missions, rewarding players with Event Shop Tickets, involve participating in Wonder Picks and collecting Fire and Water-type cards. These missions are cumulative across both event parts. The Bonus Pick also offers additional Event Shop Tickets. Daily logins are strongly recommended, especially considering the rumored untradeability of these limited-edition promo cards.
