Pokémon GO's New Year's Celebration: Get Ready for Festive Fun!

Pokémon GO is celebrating the New Year with its annual holiday event, running from December 30th to January 1st, 2025. This exciting event features themed bonuses, special Pokémon encounters, and plenty of ways to ring in the new year in style. Following the Community Day event (December 21st-22nd), prepare for a week of festive activities!

This year's event offers a fantastic bonus: catch Pokémon with Excellent Throws to earn a whopping 2,025 XP each! Enjoy immersive festive decorations and dazzling fireworks displays as you explore.

Keep an eye out for special, costumed Pokémon! Jigglypuff (with a ribbon), Hoothoot (in a New Year's outfit), and Wurmple (sporting a party hat) will appear more often in the wild, with a chance to encounter their Shiny forms.

ytRaids are also getting a festive makeover. One-star raids feature a snowflake-hat-wearing Pikachu, while three-star raids bring party-hat-adorned Raticate and Wobbuffet. Shiny rates are boosted for all three!

Complete Field Research and Timed Research tasks for extra encounters. A paid Timed Research ($2) offers exclusive rewards, including three Premium Battle Passes, three Lucky Eggs, 2,025 Stardust, and encounters with event Pokémon.

For additional items, the Ultra Holiday Box ($4.99) is available in the Pokémon GO Web Store, containing a Pokémon Storage upgrade, an Item Bag upgrade, and 17 Rare Candies. Don't forget to redeem those Pokémon Go codes for some free goodies!
