Surprise! Unannounced gameplay footage from the next Fable game debuted on the Official Xbox Podcast.

The video offers glimpses into diverse game environments, the combat mechanics, a variety of enemies, and a brief cutscene. Fans will be pleased to see the return of the classic chicken kick.

Previously, the head of Xbox Game Studios confirmed a delay for Fable, pushing its release from 2025 to 2026. The stated reason is the need for further refinement and polishing.

Announced on July 23, 2020, the reboot of this beloved franchise has remained largely shrouded in secrecy. Three years post-announcement, it's evident Fable is still in its early development phases.

The involvement of Eidos Montreal to assist primary developer Playground Games, coupled with the prolonged absence of polished gameplay footage, suggests the game faces considerable challenges.
