The final day of the Six Invitational is always filled with excitement, as Ubisoft unveils significant updates for Rainbow Six Siege. This year, they introduced Rauora, the latest attacking operator hailing from New Zealand, adding a fresh dynamic to the game's tactical gameplay.
Rauora's signature gadget is the DOM launcher, a unique bulletproof shield designed for deployment in doorways. While it's resistant to bullets, it can be destroyed with explosives. The shield features a trigger mechanism that can be activated by anyone, but the response time varies based on the team: attackers can open it in one second, while defenders must wait three. This feature could be a game-changer, especially in scenarios where the defuser is planted and every second counts.

Alongside her innovative gadget, Rauora introduces the Reaper MK2, a fully automatic pistol equipped with a red dot sight and an enlarged magazine. For her primary weapons, players can choose between the powerful M249 LMG or the precision 417 marksman rifle, offering versatile options for different playstyles.
Fans eager to try out Rauora won't have to wait long; she'll be available on the test servers next week. However, her integration into the live version of the game will take a bit more time, allowing Ubisoft to fine-tune her abilities and ensure a balanced addition to the Siege roster.
