ReFantazio Manga Debuts Inaugural Chapter

The first chapter of the Metaphor: ReFantazio manga adaptation is now available to read for free on MANGA Plus! This exciting new adaptation, a collaboration between Atlus and Shueisha, is illustrated by Yōichi Amano (known for Akaboshi: Ibun Suikoden and Stealth Symphony).

Metaphor: ReFantazio Manga Releases First Chapter

While staying true to the spirit of the game, the manga takes creative liberties with the storyline. The opening sequence differs significantly, omitting certain areas and introducing new events alongside restructured encounters between the protagonist and his allies. Notably, the manga officially confirms the protagonist's name as Will, aligning with the game's default option.

The next chapter is scheduled for release on February 19th, simultaneously with the Japanese version.

Metaphor: ReFantazio Manga Releases First Chapter

Developed by Studio Zero (led by Katsura Hashino, the director behind the Persona series), Metaphor: ReFantazio follows Will and his fairy companion, Gallica, as they embark on a quest to save the prince of Euchronia. The game's success is undeniable, selling over one million copies worldwide on its launch day, making it Atlus' fastest-selling title. Critical acclaim followed, earning numerous awards, including Best RPG, Best Art Direction, and Best Narrative at the 2024 Game Awards.

Metaphor: ReFantazio is available on PC, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and Xbox Series X|S.
