Relic Entertainment, the renowned developer behind Company of Heroes, is set to launch a new turn-based strategy game titled Earth vs. Mars this Summer on PC via Steam. This smaller-scale game draws inspiration from the classic Nintendo DS title, Advance Wars, and introduces a unique twist with the Splice-O-Tron, a device that allows players to create bizarre and powerful creature-human hybrids such as the Squirrel-Cow, Human-Rhino, and Cheetah-Fly. These hybrids will be crucial in defending Earth from an impending Martian invasion.
The narrative of Earth vs. Mars unfolds with Martians who have been covertly visiting Earth for decades, abducting humans and animals to extract their atomic essence. Now, they've launched a full-scale invasion, and it's up to a group of determined commanders to lead Earth's resistance. Players will strategize and command Earth's military forces against the advanced Martian technology, including high-tech saucers, grav-tanks, and elite alien warriors, in a gripping fight for survival.

Earth vs. Mars offers a rich gameplay experience with over 30 missions in its single-player campaign, online multiplayer where players can choose to fight as either Earth or Mars, a VS Mode to test your skills against the game's AI, and a map editor for custom battles.
"We are excited to bring a Relic Twist to the Advance Wars style of gameplay, infusing some Relic DNA, while harkening back to some of our earlier titles," stated Relic CEO Justin Dowdeswell. He further elaborated on Relic's new strategy, which includes continuing to develop traditional RTS titles while also venturing into smaller Indie-style games to explore new sub-genres, stimulate creativity, and increase the frequency of game releases. If you're intrigued by this innovative strategy game, you can now wishlist Earth vs. Mars on Steam.
