Following a minor leak last week, EA has officially unveiled the title of their upcoming Star Wars game: Star Wars: Zero Company. This exciting project is being crafted by the newly formed studio Bit Reactor, with collaborative support from Lucasfilm Games and Respawn.
While details on Star Wars: Zero Company are still scarce, we do know it will be a "single-player turn-based tactics game." Fans won't have to wait long for more information, as EA has scheduled a first look at the game for April 19 during Star Wars Celebration in Japan.
Bit Reactor, formed in 2022, is a strategy game studio boasting veterans from renowned titles such as XCOM, Civilization, Gears of War, and Elder Scrolls Online. Although it was known that Bit Reactor was collaborating with Respawn on a Star Wars project, this is the first time concrete details have been shared.
Regarding Respawn's role, the specifics of their involvement remain unclear. The studio has faced numerous challenges recently, including the cancellation of its own Star Wars FPS project last year, mass layoffs at EA, and the termination of another multiplayer FPS incubation project just last month.
Further details about Star Wars: Zero Company will be disclosed during a live panel on Saturday, April 19 at 4:30pm local time in Japan. For fans in the U.S., that translates to 12:30am PT and 3:30am ET, so be sure to set your alarms!
