If you've forgotten the hint provided by Samin, your quest for the Rime Beetle leads you to the Iceshard Cliffs region. Unfortunately, locating this creature isn't as simple as setting a waypoint on your map and letting your trusty Seikret guide you to the spot.

Instead, finding a Rime Beetle requires keen observation and a bit of luck. The good news is that once you know where to look, it becomes much easier. These endemic creatures are known for rolling up balls of packed snow, making them visible in snowy areas. To find them, head to the Iceshard Cliffs and focus on Areas 2, 7, 8, 11, and 13. As you navigate through these snow-covered zones, keep an eye out for the telltale snowballs. Additionally, following any tracks you spot in the snow can also lead you to your target.

While you can pick up the Rime Beetle manually or use the Hook Slinger, capturing it requires a different approach. Equip your Capture Net, which should be part of your standard equipment. Hold L1/LB to access your items, then scroll until you find the Capture Net and press Square/X to equip it. Aim with L2/LT, wait until the Rime Beetle is within your crosshairs and turns orange, then fire to capture it. Successfully doing so will add the Rime Beetle to your collection and fulfill Samin's request. If you choose to collect it the traditional way, you'll obtain Frost Pods, useful for inflicting ice damage on enemies in *Monster Hunter Wilds*.

That's all the information you need to find and capture Rime Beetles in *Monster Hunter Wilds*. For more tips and insights on the game, don't forget to check out The Escapist.
