Fabled Game Studio's highly anticipated sequel, Pirates Outlaws 2: Heritage, is set to launch in 2025 for Android, iOS, Steam, and Epic Games Store. This roguelike deck-builder builds upon the success of its 2019 predecessor, adding significant enhancements and new features. An open beta test is currently underway on Steam from October 25th to 31st, with mobile releases planned for a later date.
What's New in Pirates Outlaws 2?
Pirates Outlaws 2 introduces a fresh protagonist with a backstory set years after the original game. Players begin with pre-built decks and unique ability cards. New companions join the fray, each contributing unique card options. A novel fusion mechanic allows players to combine three identical cards into a more powerful variant.
Deck progression is streamlined through an evolution tree, offering customizable upgrades. Even previously discarded cards can be improved. Relic acquisition has been revamped; they are now found in markets, after boss battles, or during special events, rather than after every encounter.
The combat system features a new countdown mechanic influencing enemy actions, and the "End Turn" button is replaced with a "Redraw" action. A new armor and shield system adds another layer of strategic depth.

Are You Ready to Set Sail?
Despite the numerous additions, the core gameplay loop of Pirates Outlaws remains intact. Players will still engage in deck-building, navigate the seas, and conquer both Arena and Campaign modes. Classic elements such as ammo management, melee-ranged-skill card combinations, curses, and diverse enemy factions are all retained. Visit the official website for more details.
