The Sims 1 and 2 might come back to PC very soon

The Sims franchise is marking its 25th anniversary with a bang, and while Electronic Arts has unveiled its celebratory plans, exciting surprises may still be in store.

A recent Sims teaser subtly alluded to the series' first two installments, sparking widespread fan speculation about a potential revival. While no official announcement has been made, Kotaku sources hint at a possible reveal later this week: digital PC releases of The Sims 1 and 2, complete with their original expansion packs.

The possibility of console versions remains unconfirmed, though EA's likely interest in capitalizing on nostalgic demand makes it a strong possibility.

Given the age of The Sims 1 and 2 and the limited legal avenues for playing them today, their return would undoubtedly be a welcome event for long-time fans.
