The Sims will celebrate its 25th anniversary with lots of free items

Electronic Arts recently hosted a livestream event to commemorate the 25th anniversary of The Sims franchise. The event showcased the exciting free gifts and in-game events planned for The Sims 4 players.

The festivities have already commenced with a new update addressing several bugs, featuring a revamped main menu, and enhanced game optimization. Several classic houses in Willow Creek and Oasis Springs have also received a stylish makeover. These updated homes are available immediately for new games, and accessible via the library for existing saves.

The main anniversary celebration begins February 4th with an update delivering over 70 free items! A new in-game event, "Blast from the Past," launches concurrently. Players can unlock retro-themed items and a complete new set by completing a series of straightforward challenges.

Furthermore, a new season called "Motherlode" will debut in The Sims 4 on February 6th. Specific details regarding this season's content remain undisclosed for now.
