Garry Newman, creator of Garry's Mod, confirmed to IGN that a DMCA notice was received late last year from parties claiming ownership of Skibidi Toilet copyrights. Newman's initial reaction, shared on a Discord server, was disbelief ("Can you believe the cheek?"). The subsequent online drama went viral. While Newman states the matter is now resolved, the identity of the DMCA issuer remains undisclosed.
The notice targeted "unauthorized Skibidi Toilet Garry's Mod" content, which the sender claimed generated significant revenue. The copyrighted material in question included characters from the Skibidi Toilet web series, such as Titan Cameraman, Titan Speakerman, and Titan TV Man.
