However, a big name doesn't always guarantee a successful project. Today, Mountaintop Studios announced its closure and the impending shutdown of the shooter's servers.
The studio will officially cease operations by the end of this week, with the game's servers staying online for just under a month. During this period, Mountaintop Studios will issue refunds to players for their in-game purchases. Despite the involvement of a high-profile figure like Shroud, Spectre Divide struggled to attract a substantial player base and generate sufficient revenue to sustain its operations.

It's easy to feel disheartened by yet another unsuccessful project, but this situation underscores the immense challenges of breaking into the live-service gaming market.
