Teardown Adds Multiplayer and Folkrace DLC

Tuxedo Labs has exciting news for fans of their acclaimed sandbox game, Teardown. They've announced the addition of a much-anticipated multiplayer mode, along with the launch of a new expansion called Folkrace DLC. This new DLC promises to enrich the single-player experience by introducing fresh maps, vehicles, and racing challenges. Players can look forward to competing in diverse events, earning rewards, and customizing their vehicles to rule the tracks.

The multiplayer update will initially be available on Steam’s Experimental Branch, allowing eager players to get early access and test the feature. The developers are keen on receiving feedback, particularly from the vibrant modding community. With planned updates to the game's API, modders will have the opportunity to adapt their creations for use in multiplayer settings.

The introduction of multiplayer fulfills a long-held ambition for Tuxedo Labs and addresses a top request from the game's dedicated fanbase. This announcement signifies the realization of that vision, bringing players together in new and exciting ways.

Upon its initial release, the multiplayer mode will be accessible through the "Experimental" branch on Steam, giving players a chance to explore this new dimension of Teardown. In tandem, the team will roll out API updates to modders, ensuring that existing mods can seamlessly integrate into multiplayer environments. Following a successful testing phase, multiplayer will become a permanent and core feature of the game.

Looking to the future, Tuxedo Labs has teased that two additional major DLCs are in development, with more details to be revealed later in 2025. This promises even more content and excitement for Teardown enthusiasts.
