Call of Duty: Black Ops 6’s new Buffer Weight Stock attachment is boosting the power of several weapons, but acquiring and using it isn't straightforward. This guide details how to unlock and equip this sought-after attachment.
Unlocking the Buffer Weight Stock
Unlike many attachments earned through gameplay progression, the Buffer Weight Stock is unlocked via the in-game "The Hit List" event. Access the "Event" tab in the Black Ops 6 Multiplayer main menu. Locate the "Community" section within the event; the Buffer Weight Stock will be available for unlocking simply by viewing the event page. The community goal of eight billion eliminations has already been met, making this attachment readily accessible to all players.
Equipping the Buffer Weight Stock
While unlocking is easy, using the Buffer Weight Stock is more restrictive. It's compatible with only three weapons: the XM4 Assault Rifle, the DM-10 Marksman Rifle, and the XMG Light Machine Gun. This limited compatibility prevents the attachment from dominating gameplay. The Buffer Weight Stock significantly enhances accuracy, providing a considerable advantage in Multiplayer matches.
To equip it, navigate to the Gunsmith for your chosen weapon (XM4, DM-10, or XMG). Select the "Stock" attachment slot and choose the Buffer Weight Stock. It’s then ready to use in your loadout. Continue participating in "The Hit List" event to unlock further rewards.
