Originally unveiled in March 2019, Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 was initially scheduled for a March 2020 release. Developed by Hardsuit Labs at the time, the game faced its first delay to an unspecified date in 2020, followed by another push to 2021. Amidst these delays, several key team members departed the project. In a significant shift, Paradox Interactive announced in February 2021 that Hardsuit Labs would no longer be involved, and development would be handed over to The Chinese Room. Under this new team, the game's release was anticipated for late 2024, then shifted to the first half of 2025, and now to late 2025.
